Should You Cook Spinach or Leave it Raw?

Raw spinach is perfect in smoothies, salads, or on sandwiches, especially since they have a mild flavor and are barely detectable. If you want to enjoy spinach raw, take solace in the fact that it is packed full of vitamin C, folate, niacin, riboflavin, and potassium.

Cooked

Cooked spinach is perfect for when you want to get a lot of spinach into your body quickly. Spinach has a lot of water so when you cook it or boil it down, a really large amount comes out to almost nothing. Throw a handful into your pasta, soups, or sautees, and know that your body will be soaking up tons of vitamin A, vitamin E, protein, zinc, thiamin, calcium, and iron.
