One of the best combinations in the dessert world, in my humble opinion, is dark chocolate and walnuts.

Both dark chocolate and walnuts have a rich, savory, sweetness with just a hint of bitterness to round out your palate.

Here’s a recipe for dark chocolate walnut brownies that you are sure to love.

Ingredients

  • 4 medium eggs
  • 1 cup white flour
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ¾ cup butter
  • ½ cup chopped walnuts
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder

Start by preheating your oven to 350 degrees F and by warming your stove up to medium-low heat.

While your oven preheats, grease a 9” x 12” baking pan, with either cooking spray or butter.

Add chocolate chips and butter to a medium pan, and put on the warm stove. Melt, stirring occasionally.

Once the chocolate chips and butter have melted and the mixture has cooled a bit, whisk in the 4 eggs and leave aside to cool further.

Next, the white flour, white sugar, brown sugar, cocoa powder, and walnuts in a large bowl. Stir together.

Add the melted chocolate and butter mixture to the large bowl containing the dry ingredients and mix vigorously, combining everything.

Pour the batter into the greased baking dish and put in the oven.
