When you get a little craving for food in between lunch and dinner, you normally crave a little snack. However, if you’re looking to make healthier choices, you might be surprised to find that some of your snacks are actually really unhealthy. To make sure you’re on the right track, here’s a list of snacks to avoid next time you need to grab something.

Granola Bars

Granola bars usually do have some good ingredients in them like oats, nuts, and more. However, they almost always have a ton of sugar, so it’s no different than picking up a cookie instead! Avoid prepacked granola bars and go for homemade ones instead.

Fat-Free

If you don’t want to give up your favorite treat, a lot of times you might opt for fat-free versions instead. However, if there’s no fat in the product, it means the flavor has to come from somewhere else. This is more often than not sugar or sugar-like substances, which you definitely want to stay away from.

Store Bought Smoothies

Whether it’s a green juice or a berry smoothie, anything that comes already made from the store is absolutely full of added sugar. Although fruits have natural sugars in them, a lot of times companies will add more sugar to it, so make your own and stay on the safe side.
