Try This Tasty Fluffy Japanese Pancakes

You’ve probably already seen those fluffy, super-soft Japanese pancakes on Instagram. Give them a try with this easy recipe.

Ingredients:

The ingredients list includes 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt, 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract, 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, 1 large egg yolk and 3 large egg whites, 2 teaspoons baking powder, 1 1/4 cups milk, 3 tablespoons confectioners’ sugar, maple syrup, 4 tablespoons melted and cooled unsalted butter, 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar.

Instructions:

Use a bowl to mix the confectioners’ sugar, flour, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, mix the melted butter, milk, egg yolk, and vanilla. In a third one, beat the cream of tartar and egg whites. Use medium speed for two minutes.

Slowly add the milk in the flour mix and start stirring. Also include one third of the egg whites mix in. Continue adding the egg whites slowly until you’re done.

You will need a ring mold that is around 3 inches wide and 2 1/2 inches high. Spray it with cooking spray and also prepare a skillet. Place it on medium-low heat. Also, put the ring mold in there. You can start pouring the Japanese pancakes mixture in the mold, reaching one half of the height. You should cook around 5 minutes on each side. You can eat them right away and serve them with the maple syrup.
