A wedding cake is a big part of any wedding celebration, but that doesn’t mean you absolutely need to follow the rules and get a big, traditional one. In fact, you can have a unique cake or not have a cake at all if you prefer something else for dessert. Here are a few ideas we love.
One Layer Cake
One layer cakes are small and elegant, which is why they are perfect if you’re having a small wedding or many other desserts besides the cake. Some couples have a small cake be their “main” cake and serve other cakes to the guests.
Letter Cake
How adorable would it be if your cake was in the shape of your partner’s and your initials? Such cakes can be decorated with flowers or whatever else you want.
Pancake Cake
Your wedding cake doesn’t even have to be a cake! If you’re feeling unconventional and love pancakes, how about a huge stack of them in the shape of a cake?
Donut Cake
There are so many gorgeous arrangements you can make (or have made for you) with donuts, but we especially love something like this, a bunch of donuts and a small cake on top.
