Everyone has that one bag of frozen peas crammed in the back of their freezer. Instead of letting it sit there and become too frosty to salvage, use them in these recipes and you’ll be happy you kept them in the freezer at all.

Pea Soup

A super simple soup to make whenever you want something satisfying but easy is frozen pea soup. Just saute carrots onion and garlic together, add defrosted peas, thyme, and vegetable or chicken stock. Bring to a boil, and then blend it together and you have a fulfilling meal in no time.

Pea Pesto

This pesto could not be easier to make, and you don’t even have to defrost the peas! Combine the peas with mint, parmesan cheese, salt and pepper and process it in a food processor. Slowly drizzle in olive oil and it’s ready to be dipped and spread!

Macaroni and Cheese

Mac and cheese is a classic dish that is not unfortunately not known for being the healthiest. However, you can easily change that with some frozen peas! Just throw in as much as you want at the end of the cooking process, and you’ll have a burst of green and a lovely flavor in each bite.
