Delicious maple sausage pie

This is comfort budget food that is so delicious, you’ll make it time after time. For a quick lunch with a friend or a family dinner, this pie is sure to please even the pickiest eaters. And the best thing about it? It’s so quick and easy to make, even the kids can get involved. This pie serves 6 to 8.

Ingredients

12 oz raw maple sausages, casings removed

3 green onions, white and green parts thinly sliced separately

1 cup Original Bisquick™ mix

1 cup milk

3 eggs

½ tsp salt

1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

1 Tablespoon maple syrup

Method

  1. Heat oven to 375°F. Spray 9-inch glass pie plate with cooking spray.
  2. Cook sausage meat and onion whites on a medium heat in a 10-inch skillet for about 8 minutes. Stir occasionally until the meat has lost its pinkness. Spread on pie plate
  3. Blend Bisquick mix, milk, eggs, and salt in a bowl. Add cheese. Stir, and pour into pie plate
  4. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a skewer pushed into the middle comes out clean. Allow standing for 5 minutes.
  5. Drizzle with syrup and top with onion greens.
