We’re Nuts About These Nut Butters

Peanuts have held the stake where nut spreads are concerned for a long time, even though it’s actually a legume!

With legumes being struck off the menu for many diets these days, peanut butter as the spread of choice is being challenged by other nuts coming through the ranks.

Here are some alternatives to peanut butter that you can make yourself.

And what’s great about making your own nut butters is that they are usually better than store-bought and you can use any nuts you fancy!

Almond Butter

Loaded with antioxidants and Vitamin E, almonds help to regulate cholesterol and blood pressure, improve your skin, and keeps you more regular due to all its fibre.

Roast about 2 cups of almonds and place in a food processor with some avocado or coconut oil and feel free to add some vanilla essence and even cinnamon for flavor.

Macadamia Butter

Macadamias are full of all the good fats you need in your life, and can also help prevent diabetes and even weight gain.

Creamy macadamia nut butter can be made even more indulgent by adding in melted white chocolate!

Cashew Butter

Cash(ew) us outside, how ‘bout that!

The Portuguese seeds boast high levels of iron, magnesium, zinc, copper, phosphorus, and manganese. They’re also insanely delicious. Even more so if you add in freeze-dried strawberries when processing.

𝗣𝗜𝗠𝗣 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗡𝗨𝗧 𝗕𝗨𝗧𝗧𝗘𝗥 Happy new month, happy new week, happy new day everyone! Let’s make July extraordinary, starting with a legendary cashew butter 🤩 Have you already made your own nut butter? If not, you should. If you want to know why, just catch up with my last story. If yes, have you already pimped your nut butter? I mean, have you added other ingredients to uplift it from delicious to incredibly scrumptious? I hadn’t made that before this cashew butter. But this was before. And I’m 💯 sure I will never make pure nut butter again, just because it can be so much better. Look at everything you can add: * Spices: cinnamon, cardamom, maca, pepper, etc. * Flavors: salt, vanilla extract, cocoa powder, etc. * Natural sweeteners: maple syrup, agave syrup, coconut syrup, etc. Just start adding a pinch and adjust to taste.
