Most of us have a selection of herbs in our cupboards but a lot of us are also guilty of using them whimsically and sporadically to flavor our food. Here are five fantastic pairings to fully enjoy these classic herbs.
Basil and Tomatoes
Basil and tomato is a winning combination. Whether it’s in sauces, salads or even in a sandwich, you can’t go wrong with this pairing.
Sage and Pork Chops
Sage is an aromatic herb which can be enjoyed with Pork Chops for a classically British dish or with pulses if you want to opt for something a little more Italian.
Parsley and Carrots
Parsley is fresh tasting and versatile. It goes well with most vegetables but if you make it into a sauce, it will go fabulously with carrots.
Rosemary and Lamb Chops
Rosemary goes very well with fatty foods. It has a strong flavor and works great with something like lamb chops or oily fish.

Oregano and salad
Oregano works wonderfully as a vinaigrette with olive oil and vinegar. Toss with a Mediterranean style salad to enjoy this herb.
