Easy And Impressive Homemade Condiments

Although they are completely necessary to have in your kitchen, store-bought condiments often have a hefty downside. Normally they are high in calories, salt, and sugar, but by making them yourself you can control what and how much of everything goes in. Try these delicious condiments for yourself and taste the difference.

I have to admit that the price of Avocado Mayo at my local Health food store just about gave me a heart attack the other day. 12 oz bottle for $10.00 My. Oh. My! Really? It's made me even more dedicated to continue to make my own homemade low carb no sugar added mayonnaise. Plus, when I make my own at home I get to create different flavors. I just wanted to share a few of our faves with you. And some of the ingredients I use. I hope that I am able to explain this in a way that makes sense. But if it gets confusing just comment below. I'd be happy to answer any and all questions. 🙂 Recipes in comments. #nosugaraddedmayo #avocadomayo #ketomayo #homemadecondiments #avocadooil #lowcarberista #realfood #spicymayo #bunlessburger #baconmayo #garlicmayo #dijonmayo #realfoodforhealth #notovegetableoils #simplegirl #chosenfoods #stadiummustard #lemon #lime #baconfat

Hot Sauce

Whether you’re putting it on chicken or potatoes, the heat and vinegar taste that hot sauce provides is necessary for so many dishes. However, making your own ensure that no unknown additives go in, like the kind you get from store-bought. Luckily, all you need to make it is hot peppers, vinegar, garlic, and salt cooked in a pot and blended!

Mayonnaise

Mayo is the base for so many other great condiments, so perfecting it is necessary, and luckily it couldn’t be easier. Simply whisk or blend an egg yolk, lemon juice, vinegar, mustard and ½ teaspoon of salt together until the mixture is bright yellow. Then, gently add in olive oil while continuing to whisk or blend, and you’ll have amazing mayonnaise!

Tartar Sauce

Tartar sauce is absolutely when you’re eating fried fish, whether it’s in a sandwich or by itself.  Instead of using something from a jar, make the recipe above for mayonnaise, add onions and dill pickles, and you have yourself gourmet tartar sauce.
