Many of us find ourselves ravenous in the mid-afternoon. The problem is, we often reach for fatty, calorie-laden snacks. How about packing your own healthy snack instead.
Spirulina Popcorn
Ingredients
- ¼ cup popping corn
- 1 tablespoon + ¼ cup olive oil
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon spirulina
- 3 tablespoons nutritional yeast
- ½ teaspoon salt flakes
- ⅛ teaspoon cayenne pepper powder
Method
- Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large pot on a medium-high heat.
- Test to see how hot the oil is by cooking two corn kernels until they pop. Then add the rest of the corn and pop it.
- Combine all the other ingredients in a large bowl, then add the popcorn and toss to distribute the seasoning
