It is the pastry that is used for so many desserts that we all love like cream puffs and eclairs but is seemingly very difficult. In fact, choux pastry is one of the simplest pastries to make because you don’t need any fancy tools or machines, or even a lot of time! Ingredients

Choux pastry really only involves water, butter, flour, and eggs. You can add in things to the dough like cocoa powder or other spices, but for the basic dough, you only need those four ingredients!

Method

  1. Combine butter and water in a saucepan.
  2. Heat until the butter has melted and it comes just to a boil.
  3. Mix in the flour with a wooden spoon until it forms a ball.
  4. Take it off the heat and let it cool for a few minutes.
  5. Mix in the eggs one at a time and you’re pastry is ready to be used!
