Quick Recipe for Delicious Salmon and Chive Spread

This spread is a great option when you’re looking for something healthy and light to put on bread or serve as a dip. The best part is how easy it is to make.

Ingredients:

2 cans salmon, well drained (preferably Alaskan or ‘sockeye’)

7 oz nonfat Greek yogurt

2 oz hot-smoked salmon, finely chopped

1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped

3 tablespoons chives, finely chopped

2 teaspoons Dijon mustard

¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

½ teaspoon salt or sea salt

Method:

Discard salmon skin and bones, and break up into chunks. Set aside. Mix all other ingredients together, then gently stir in the salmon chunks. Top with slivers of red onion. Serve with lavash, seed crackers, or whole-grain bread.
