🍟 Jicama Fries & Tahini Dip ⏲ 15 min Prep Time | Serves 2 It’s FRY-day so y’all know what that means 🥳 My first Friday off 🙌🏼 Definitely can dig this 9/80 schedule. So this is my second time trying jicama & I love it! It’s so versatile 😋 I got a huggggee jicama in my imperfect produce box & definitely was a little intimidated but these fries turned out great! Crispy, brown, spicy 🤤 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Deets👇🏼 Spicy Jicama Fries: ▫️1/4 Jicama, pealed & cut into fries ▫️2 tbsp Avocado Oil ▫️Spices – Cayenne, Smoke Paprika, Garlic Powder, Salt & Pepper ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Creamy Tahini Dip: ▫️1/4 cup Tahini ▫️1 small Lemon, juiced ▫️1/4 cup Warm Water ▫️2 cloves Garlic, minced ▫️Spices – Cumin, Salt & Pepper ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ How To❓ ▫️Use a large knife to cut your jicama. I start off by hacking off a huge chunk & then used a peeled to peel off the outer skin. Takes a bit of time but peels off easily. Slice into fries. ▫️Boil a pot of water with some salt. Boil the fries for roughly 10 mins to get them a little soft. ▫️Transfer to a colander & then to a mixing bowl. Add in your oil & spices. Mix evenly. ▫️Heat up your air fryer to 400° for 15 mins. Cook in 2 batches (depending on the size of your fryer – you don’t want them to overlap too much). Shake the fries every 5 mins. ▫️For the sauce, blend everything in a food processor & serve in a bowl. ▫️Serve & enjoy! 😋 {Recipe video tutorial in story highlights}

Tahini is incredibly healthy, since it’s made up of only sesame seeds, which provides healthy fat and protein from the seeds.

Tahini is also ridiculously easy to make, so if you don’t like to cook but want big flavors out of your food, check out this tahini recipe.

Mi receta a cambio de tu like ❤ qué te parece? . Falta tan poquito! Que emoción! . Que tengas un día impresionantemente maravilloso 💖🌈🤗 . Lot of love, Rebe 💕 . . . . . . . #veganbowl #veganfood #vegan #vegano #vegana #comidavegana #comidasaludable #rawvegan #rawveganfood #veganrecipes #rawveganrecipes #healthyrecipes  #plantbased #plantbasedfood #govegan #veganism #coconutbowl #veganismo #comidasana  #recetasveganas #batchcooking #veggiefood #vegetarianismo #tahini

  1. Start by finely mincing or microplaning a garlic clove.
  2. To a bowl, add in the raw tahini. Add in lemon juice just a squeeze or so at a time until the paste starts to thin out a bit.
  3. After you add the lemon, add just a few drops of water to thin it out to your liking and to balance the acidity of the lemon.
  4. Add in the garlic, along with salt to your taste, as well as a pinch of cumin.
  5. Mix everything together, taste for seasoning and acidity level, and you’re done!

Just be mindful that if you do thin it out too much, tahini will thicken as it sits, so you don’t have to worry much.

To use the tahini, you can put it right onto salads as a dressing, over roasted or grilled vegetables, or even just as a dip for veggies or pita chips!
