As the summer approaches, so too does the time to enjoy brunch with friends. Naturally, no delicious brunch is complete without a refreshing cocktail to quench your thirst. An intriguing twist on a classic mimosa, here is your guide to preparing an ideal brunch cocktail called a lemosa.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 bottle champagne
- 1 cup water
- zest of 1 lemon
- 2 cups blueberries
- 2 cups lemonade
Instructions:
- Place a medium saucepan over medium heat. Pour sugar and water and stir until the sugar is dissolved. Add the blueberries and lemon zest and bring the mixture to a boil. Once the blueberries have burst, allow them to simmer for 5 minutes.
- Remove the mixture from the heat and allow to cool for 10 minutes.
- Once cool, strain the mixture into a clean jar.
- Get a champagne glass and pour 1 tablespoon of the blueberry syrup. Add 1/4 cup lemonade and top off with champagne.
