If you love a strong drink but also have a sweet side, then a classic Long Island iced tea is sure to satisfy your palette. Here is how you can concoct the perfect Long Island Ice Tea to top off a relaxing summer afternoon—if you have the guts, of course.

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/4 ounces fresh lemon juice
  • 1 ounces simple syrup
  • ice
  • Coca-Cola
  • 1 ounce gin
  • 1 ounce vodka
  • 1 ounce white rum
  • 1 ounce blanco tequila
  • 1 ounce triple sec
  • lemon wheels
  • 5 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons grapefruit juice
  • 4 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

Instructions:

  1. Pour the granulated sugar and 1/2 cup water into a small saucepan and place over medium-high heat. Whisk until the sugar is dissolved.
  2. Transfer the syrup to a container, adding lemon juice, lime juice, and grapefruit juice. Stir to combine and refrigerate.
  3. In a cocktail shaker, pour the tequila, rum, vodka, gin, and triple sec. Add ice and shake for about 20 seconds until frosty.
  4. Strain into two Collins glasses and pour Coca-Cola in each to top it all off. Garnish with lemon wheels.
