Sometimes we find ourselves in situations where we’re expected to prepare a meal for a large group of people—all on our own. When these situations arise, it’s natural to feel overwhelmed by the whole thing. You’re certainly not wrong for feeling stressed, especially if you’re not used to making meals in such large quantities. Here are some tips for getting through this process.
Get Support From Others
This might be obvious, but many neglect to do this. Throw away your pride and don’t be afraid to ask someone else for help. This, of course, is a cop-out to the initial premise of the question, but we find it relevant nonetheless because oftentimes people feel as though they have to do everything on their own—and they really don’t have to.
Plan It Out On Paper
A few days in advance, plan out every time in the cooking process. Write down every single dish you’re making and every single ingredient you’re going to need. Write down exactly when you’ll be making each dish, and how long it’s going to take. As long as your note-taking is thorough and comprehensive, all you have to do is follow it! This will take all of the stress out of the equation.
