Try the Indian Traditional Dhal Soup Recipe

It doesn’t matter if it’s winter or summer, a good soup is always welcomed.

All the foodies out there who love tasting different types of cuisines will really appreciate this delicious recipe. The traditional Indian dhal soup is done in 25 minutes and meant for 4 servings. Once you taste it, it will be on top of your cooking list.

Ingredients

The ingredient list includes:
2 teaspoons turmeric
1/4 teaspoons ground cardamom
1 diced medium onion
1 can diced tomatoes
2 cloves finely diced garlic
2 teaspoons ground cumin
1 teaspoon cinnamon
4 cups vegetable stock
1 can coconut milk
1 handful baby spinach
3/4 cup uncooked red lentils

Instructions

To make this Indian dhal soup you need to first cook the oil together with the onion and garlic.

After 4 to 5 minutes you can also add the cumin, cinnamon, turmeric, and ground cardamom. Mix all the ingredients together very well.

Leave them on the stove for one extra minute.

Mix in the coconut milk, tomatoes, stock, and lentils. Don’t forget to add salt and pepper.

Turn the heat up and when it starts to boil you can let it simmer for 20 minutes. Leave the pot uncovered.

When the time is up, leave the pot on the side and add the spinach. Once it’s soft you can serve the dhal soup.
