We don’t blame you if you think that ice cube trays are just for making ice cubes. However, this kitchen tool is much more versatile than you would have guessed. Here are some unique ways you can use it besides making ice cubes.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Bites

Ice cube trays can help you make a quick treat that you won’t be able to get enough of. Fill the two-thirds of ice cube tray compartments with peanut butter and add melted chocolate on top. Pop in the freezer for an hour, and you’ve got yourself chocolate peanut butter bites.

Better Iced Coffee

Don’t you hate when your iced coffee becomes too watery from the ice? You can avoid this thanks to your ice cube tray. Simply pour coffee instead of water into the ice cube tray and freeze. You’ll get coffee ice cubes that you can later add to your iced coffee without worrying they will spoil the taste.

Cooking Stock

Cooking stock doesn’t have a long shelf life unless you freeze it. Make stock ice cubes and have them ready for the next time you need to use them.

Pancake Batter

Don’t want to make pancake batter every time you want some pancakes? Then, make a large batch and pour it into ice cube compartments to freeze the batter. Next time you want some pancakes, take out a cube or two and drop it onto a skillet, and you will enjoy a tasty breakfast in no time.
