There are so many kinds of bread out there to consume. Whole wheat bread, multigrain bread, and raisin bread are among the most common you’ll see in the supermarkets. One of the most obscure kinds of bread in existence, though, is monkey bread. The name comes from the way that we tend to pick it apart, almost like a monkey does with its food.

A neat form of monkey bread is pizza monkey bread. It’s cheesy, saucy, and it’ll satisfy everyone! Serve it as an entreé with a colorful side salad or bring it out as an appetizer or party snack. If you’re interested in this tasty food, it’s a cinch to create.

This Is How We Do It

As soon as you’re ready to make this pizza monkey bread, you’ll need to head to the store to grab a ton of ingredients. Make sure to bring around $30 in order to purchase these following items:

  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 1/2 cups finely shredded Italian cheese blend
  • 1 tube Pillsbury refrigerated thin pizza crust
  • 2 cups (1-inch round) mozzarella balls (about 24)
  • 2 cups Alfredo sauce
  • Basil, freshly chopped (for garnish)
  • Nonstick baking spray

Creating A Masterpiece

The first thing you have to do is get that oven heated to 400 degrees. (Anything hotter than that will leave you with burnt food.)

Spray your bundt cake pan with nonstick cooking spray and set it aside. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cheeses and seasonings, stirring to mix. Take out the pizza dough and start cutting it into half inch squares. In order to prevent them from sticking to each other, scatter a small amount of flour onto the cooking board.

Each square will be wrapped around the mozzarella balls and dipped into the Alfredo sauce. Dip them again in the shredded cheese concoction you created earlier. Place them all in the bundt cake pan, laying everything out so that it will bake together into one perfectly-shaped cheesy, delicious bread.

A Perfect Result

After all of the preparation is done, it’s finally time to bake! Set the pan in the oven, and let it bake for 30 to 35 minutes. You’ll know it’s done when the bread turns golden brown. Take it out of the oven, and let things cool down for around five minutes. Sprinkle the basil on top of the bread, and you’re done! The remaining Alfredo sauce can be used as a dip.

This is big enough to serve six people, so don’t be afraid to invite your new neighbors or best friends over for a quick bite. Of course, no one will get mad if you decide to just eat these bad boys by yourself. Who could resist these tasty treats? You’ll probably need to stock up on more ingredients because you’ll wind up only making these for the rest of your life!
