Most people just think bubble gum is for chewing, but it can also be used to flavor yummy sugar cookies! These little delights are the sweet treat you deserve.
Ingredients:
- 2 3/4 cup of flour
- 1 teaspoon of baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1 cup of unsalted butter
- 1 1/2 cup of sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla
- 1 teaspoon of bubble gum extract
- 3 drops of red food coloring
Instructions:
- Whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a medium-sized bowl.
- In the bowl of a stand mixer, put in the butter and sugar.
- Using the paddle attachment, cream the two ingredients together until they are light and fluffy.
- Add in the egg and beat until combined.
- Pour in the vanilla extract and then the bubble gum extract, and beat for a few seconds. Drop in the food coloring and mix until light pink is seen.
- One spoonful at a time, add in the flour mixture until just combined.
- Use a mini ice cream scooper or two tablespoons to make even balls. Spread them 1 inch apart on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake at 350 F for 10-12 minutes. Let them cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before moving them onto a cooling rack until they’re completely cooled, then, enjoy!
