Ingredients:

  • 2 3/4 cup of flour
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 cup of unsalted butter
  • 1 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon of bubble gum extract
  • 3 drops of red food coloring

Instructions:

  1. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a medium-sized bowl.
  2. In the bowl of a stand mixer, put in the butter and sugar.
  3. Using the paddle attachment, cream the two ingredients together until they are light and fluffy.
  4. Add in the egg and beat until combined.
  5. Pour in the vanilla extract and then the bubble gum extract, and beat for a few seconds. Drop in the food coloring and mix until light pink is seen.
  6. One spoonful at a time, add in the flour mixture until just combined.
  7. Use a mini ice cream scooper or two tablespoons to make even balls. Spread them 1 inch apart on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  8. Bake at 350 F for 10-12 minutes. Let them cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before moving them onto a cooling rack until they’re completely cooled, then, enjoy!
