Are you looking for a delicious dish to serve at your Super Bowl party that is going to be a surefire hit? Well, then this twist on classic Buffalo wings is for you. Here’s how you can make lemon pepper wings that your guests will continue dreaming about even when the Super Bowl is long over.

Ingredients:

  • 3 pounds of chicken wings
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon grated lemon zest
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons black pepper, ground
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons butter, unsalted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Lemon wedges

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°. While waiting for the oven to heat, place the lemon zest, baking powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a small bowl. Whisk the ingredients together until fully combined.
  2. Coat the wings with the mixture and add oil. Then, sprinkle the lemon zest over the chicken and continue to toss until fully blended.
  3. Insert the wings into the oven and allow to bake for 40 to 50 minutes until they are crispy and browned.
  4. As you wait, fill a small pot with butter and honey and place over medium heat. Cook for about three minutes until blended. Once you remove from the heat, add lemon juice.
  5. Once the wings are cooked to your liking, place them in a large clean bowl and drizzle them in your lemon butter sauce, tossing them so that the sauce fully coats each wing. Serve your wings with lemon wedges.
