There is nothing wrong when cookies come out of the oven with some imperfections. But there is something about perfectly round cookies that makes them just a little bit tastier. You know what we are talking about.

Making perfectly round cookies isn’t all that easy. No matter how well you roll the cookie dough, it always seems it is a bit off. This is where having a few tricks up your sleeve becomes useful.

As it turns out, the cookbook author and TV personality Martha Stewart has a simple trick that can help you achieve that satisfying round shape in a heartbeat. And all you need is a bamboo mat.

How to Make Perfectly Round Cookies

In a video posted on her YouTube channel a while back, Stewart can be seen making green tea cookies. After preparing the dough, she decides to demonstrate a trick that helps her achieve perfectly round cookies.

Stewart first wraps the dough in parchment paper. Next, she takes a bamboo mat, which is used by chefs to make sushi, and uses it to roll the paper-wrapped cookie dough into a cylindrical shape, achieving impressive results.
