Whether you are planning to fry jalapeno peppers, onion rings, or trying something totally crazy, knowing how to make the perfect beer batter will ensure that all your foods come out super tasty.

Recipe

  1. Start by measuring out 2 1/2 cups of all purpose flour into a bowl.
  2. To that, add in 2 teaspoons of baking powder, 2 teaspoons of salt and 1 teaspoon of pepper and mix well.
  3. From there you can also add other seasonings if you want it to have a specific taste, like Cajun seasoning for seafood, etc. If you do decide to do that, cut back on the salt, as most pre-made blends have plenty in them.
  4. Then, in a separate pitcher or bowl, crack in 4 eggs and beat them well.
  5. Add them to the bowl of dry ingredients along with 1 bottle of whatever beer you like.
  6. Mix everything together with a whisk until the batter forms, and you’re ready to get to frying!
