This Pomegranate Martini Comes Just in Time For Summer

As the weather continues to warm, you’ll no doubt be looking to get into the summer mood. The right tropical cocktail will go a long way in helping you reach this state. Here is a tasty pomegranate martini that is sure to get you in the party mood just in time for summer.

Ingredients:

  • 2 ounces pomegranate juice
  • 1 1/2 ounces vodka
  • 1 tablespoon sanding sugar
  • 1/2 ounces Cointreau
  • 1/2 ounce fresh lemon juice
  • 1 lemon
  • ice
  • pomegranate seeds

Instructions:

  1. Freeze a martini glass for 15 minutes.
  2. Pour the sanding sugar onto a shallow plate. Rub a slice of lemon around the rim of the glass and press the glass into the plate, getting the sugar onto the rim.
  3. Pour the pomegranate juice, Cointreau, lemon juice, and vodka into a cocktail shaker. Fill with ice and shake for about 20 seconds.
  4. Strain the cocktail into the glass and decorate with pomegranate seeds.
