Ingredients

  • 4 cups of mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
  • 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup of rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup of brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup of cubed unsalted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the mixed berries, granulated sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, and vanilla extract. Gently toss the ingredients until the berries are evenly coated. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish.
  3. In a separate bowl, prepare the crumble topping. Combine rolled oats, all-purpose flour, brown sugar, cold cubed butter, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Use your fingers or a pastry cutter to blend the ingredients until a crumbly texture is achieved.
  4. Evenly sprinkle the crumble topping over the berry mixture in the baking dish. Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes or until the berries are bubbling, and the crumble topping is golden brown.
  5. Remove the berry crumble from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving. Serve the berry crumble warm, either on its own or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra indulgence.
