If you’re a food enthusiast who loves Japanese cuisine, chances are you’ve dipped your toes into a little something called ramen noodles. This unique style of noodles is one of the tastiest dishes out there, but oftentimes they can be unhealthy—at least in the way they’re presented in the store. For this reason, we’re here to recommend that you make your own ramen at home.

The Unhealthy Store-Bought Version

Buying ready-made ramen noodles in the supermarket is a guilty pleasure that so many people have, and for good reason. When you eat it in the moment, it’s incredibly tasty and has a certain addicting quality to it. However, there are processed elements in these packaged products that aren’t too good for you.

A Healthier Alternative

If you’re trying to enjoy ramen but without all of the added unhealthy seasonings, why not just make it yourself? Buy a bag of plain ramen noodles with nothing else, and then just prepare your own broth. You can add your own healthy seasonings, as well as other healthy things such as chicken, meat, or hard-boiled eggs (which is common for ramen). When you’re done, you’ll have a delicious ramen noodle dish that’s also healthy!
